Signature collection

Collect your company managers’ signatures directly in Limitada, in order, with no email threads and attached PDFs. As each manager signs inside the app, the next one is notified by email, and the signed document is saved as a new version in the history.

Company decisions often need several managers to sign: a resolution, a contract, a declaration. Doing it by email is slow and messy: who still has to sign?, which file is the latest?, where’s the final version with everyone’s signature? Limitada solves this with a sequential signing process, from start to finished document.

How it works

  1. Pick the document and the managers who need to sign, in the order you want.
  2. You sign first: whoever starts the process is the first signer and signs right away in the app.
  3. Limitada moves on to the next manager. When the active signer is done, the next manager is notified by email, with a direct link to sign. There’s always a single active signer at a time.
  4. When all signatures are collected, the signed document is saved as a new published version in the history, marked as signed, and whoever started the process is notified that it’s complete.

Sequential, in the order you set

Signing is always sequential: you set the order of managers and each is only called once the previous one is done. Before a manager becomes the active signer, you can reorder the list. If something goes wrong, you can reset a step so a manager signs again, or cancel the process entirely. When starting, you can also mark a manager as already signed, skipping their step.

Tied to your documents

Signature collection is part of versioned documents: the signed document doesn’t get lost in an inbox, it becomes a new published version in the document’s own history, marked as signed. You always know which version is final and who signed it.

Who benefits most

Companies with more than one manager that make decisions requiring several signatures: resolutions, contracts, declarations. Instead of circulating a PDF by email and losing track of who has already signed, the whole process happens in Limitada, with automatic notifications and the final document organized in the history.

Frequently asked questions

Who can sign?

The company managers registered in Limitada. Signature collection is between managers; there are no external signers. You need at least two managers to start a process.

In what order do they sign?

Signing is sequential: you set the order of managers and, as each signature is completed, the next manager is notified by email. Whoever starts the process signs first, inside the app. You can reorder managers who haven’t signed yet. Only one signer is active at a time.

What happens to the document once it’s signed?

When all the required signatures are collected, the signed document is saved as a new published version in the document’s history, marked as signed. The collection process closes and the signed version stays in the document’s history.

Which documents can I send for signing?

Published versions of company documents: resolutions, contracts, declarations, and other documents. The Articles of Association (Pacto Social) and the Minutes Book (Livro de Atas) are managed separately and don’t go through this signature-collection flow.

Do signers need a Limitada account?

Each manager who will sign needs to be linked to a user in the company, so they can sign inside the app. If they don’t have access yet, just invite them; until then, the step waits for the invitation.

Can I reorder, redo, or cancel?

Yes. You can reorder managers who haven’t signed yet, reset a step so a manager signs again, or cancel the whole process. When starting, you can also mark a manager as already signed, skipping their step.

Do I need a paid plan?

Signature collection is included in every plan at no extra cost. Because it involves at least two managers with access to the app, you’ll need a plan with multiple users (from Starter up).
