Versioned documents
Articles of Association, Minutes Book, and any other company document, each with a complete version history. Always know which version is current, who changed what and when. No more articles_FINAL_v3.pdf lost in your Drive.
The legal documents of a Portuguese Lda change over time. The articles of association (pacto social) get amended when a new partner joins, the registered office moves, or the share capital increases. The minutes book (livro de atas) grows with every general meeting. Shared folders and email threads quickly become a mess: which version is right?, who signed that minute?, where’s the version before the change?
Limitada solves this: every document in the company is versioned. You always see the current version; the history is preserved and accessible.
How it works
You can author the document directly in Limitada’s editor or upload a PDF. From there, every change (whether edited in the app or replaced with a new version) creates a history entry with date, author, and an optional change note. Any past version is one click away.
What you can keep here
- Articles of Association (Pacto Social): the current version and every recorded change.
- Minutes Book (Livro de Atas): general meeting minutes, management minutes, extraordinary minutes.
- Other documents: RCBE, certificates, contracts, notarial acts; anything relevant to the legal life of the company.
Every document lives in Limitada’s backoffice, shareable with your team and your accountant.
Built-in signature collection
Documents in Limitada connect directly to signature collection: send a company document to your managers for sequential signing without leaving the app, with email notifications. The signed document is saved as a new version in the history.
Who benefits most
Companies that go through changes over time (new partners, address moves, capital increases), companies with several minutes per year, and companies where more than one person edits legal documents. In this last case, version history avoids lost work and disputes about “which one was the original.”
Frequently asked questions
Can I roll back to a previous version?
Yes. Every version is accessible in the document’s history. You can view it, download it, or (if needed) restore it as the current version, which itself creates a new history entry.
Who can edit documents?
It depends on the user’s permissions in the company. Typically, managers can edit; other users may have read-only access. Your accountant can be invited with the right permissions.
Can I download all versions?
Yes. Each version has its own download link. You can export the full history if you need to.
What happens if I delete a document?
Deleted documents stay recoverable for a period before being permanently removed. Changes in Limitada are made safely, with protection against accidental loss.
Do the documents have legal standing?
Limitada stores the documents and their history, including the signed version. Legal formalisation (notarial deeds, registry filings, etc.) still happens through the usual official channels; Limitada is where the company keeps its documents organized and accessible.
